On 21st december 2024, we went to Morarji Desai Residential School (ST-17), Hunasedoddi, Kootagal Hobli, Ankanahalli (Post), Ramanagara District. – 562159, to conduct an outreach session as the resource person for a teaching session with live experimental demonstration. It is the fourth school we visited this year for the outreach session as a part of SFRI.
I covered the topic on electromagnetism and demonstrated that a current carrying conductor experiences a force in presence of magnetic field. I had an wonderful time interacting with the students.
The following pictures show the students trying to figure out the direction of magnetic field due to a hypothetical current carrying conductor which I had drawn on the blackboard. The students are using the right hand thumb rule to determine the direction of magnetic field.
At last we took a final picture with the students and their science teacher.
